Approved Applicators for More Than 30 State Highway Departments

Lane Coatings has more than three decades of experience and a longstanding reputation for both quality and value. We are a partner to government agencies and roadwork contractors across the county, and have previously completed sound wall post-coating projects for the Maryland State Highway Administration and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, among others. We will work with your timelines and your budgetary requirements, ensuring every job gets completed in a responsible manner.

Lead Times of One Week or Less

In any highly visible public works project, preventing overruns is essential. Delays in getting your sound wall posts powder coated have a trickle-down effect that can lead to cost overruns and scheduling problems down the line. At Lane Coatings, this is something we understand intimately. Our reputation is based on our ability to get any job done in a timely manner, no matter how big or complex it is.

Most sound wall post-coating projects can be completed in one week or less. Rush service is also available – contact our office directly for more information.

Our Process

All sound wall post powder coating is completed at our 65,000-square-foot facility located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. There, we are able to accommodate components as large as 2 feet wide by 8 feet high and 84 feet long for polyester and 3 feet wide and 9 feet high and 110 feet long for green epoxy, and weighing as much as 9 tons. We have extensive material handling and storage capabilities to complement our sophisticated two-line operation, further reducing the risk of project delays. Once the job is completed, we will ship your powder-coated sound wall posts to you promptly, in ready-to-install condition.

At Lane Coatings the two coat system consists of a powder topcoat underlain by a zinc-rich primer. This system provides long-term durability and industry leading weather and corrosion resistance.

The Environmentally Friendly Alternative

Our powder-coating products offer exceptional long-term durability at a low cost of ownership. They’re also better for the environment than conventional paints and primers. Our sound wall post powder coatings contain no heavy metals and no carcinogens. They’re also low in – or free from altogether – solvents containing volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Additionally, we have developed an application process that requires fewer coats and produces less overspray, keeping the amount of waste we produce to an absolute minimum. Recycled water is used almost exclusively in the pretreatment process. Together, these benefits add up to make a more environmentally friendly process from start to finish.
